As of today, VoidStation is on the DistroWatch waiting list – the big directory of Linux and BSD distributions. One day after the first live ISO, that's a nice next step.
What it means: new distributions don't go straight into the DistroWatch database, they go on a waiting list first. They usually stay there for about a year before being evaluated – many new projects fade away during that time. VoidStation intends to show it's here to stay: with regular releases, answers to questions and a live ISO that runs on as many machines as possible.
How you can help
- Recommend it: DistroWatch evaluates projects with many recommendations first. If you like VoidStation, recommend it on the waiting list – once is enough.
- Try it and tell us: Does the live ISO run on your machine? Show off your setup or ask your questions in the Discussions on GitHub. Old office PCs getting a second life are especially welcome.
- Report bugs: If something doesn't work, an issue on GitHub helps most. What's useful to include is listed under Reporting bugs.
Thanks to everyone who has already tried VoidStation!
