Hosting on GitHub Pages

This website is served via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub (a Microsoft company). When you open a page, GitHub processes technically necessary data – in particular your IP address, the date and time, the requested address and your browser's identifier. GitHub uses this data to deliver the site and protect it against attacks; it may also be processed in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in providing the site securely and reliably. I have no access to these logs myself and keep no visitor statistics. For details, see GitHub's privacy statement.

Updates and installation

VoidStation devices regularly check for updates and download installation and update files from voidstation.de or GitHub. GitHub processes the same technical data as when you open this site. No device identifier or usage statistics are transmitted.

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and embeds no content from other providers – even the font is loaded from here, not from Google. The site's small script (clock, filter, copy button) runs only in your browser and sends nothing.

Links and downloads

Links lead to GitHub and SourceForge (ISO download), among others. If you follow them, the privacy policies of those providers apply.

Contact

If you email me, I only use your details to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that. Bug reports on GitHub are public – GitHub's terms apply there.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one responsible for where you live.
