Version 2026.10.1 is out in the Stable channel. What's new:
- Updates: the dialog opens right away instead of waiting minutes for the package check. System updates are checked in the background and added to the dialog once that's done. Loading the package lists takes at most 90 seconds per attempt – before, a stalled server could block the check for 5 minutes
- Fastest Void server: before every update VoidStation measures the official Void mirrors (Frankfurt, Helsinki, Fastly, Chicago) and downloads from the fastest – instead of whichever one
repo-defaulthappens to hand out (today: Helsinki at 270 KB/s). If a server doesn't answer, it switches right away. Your own package source in/etc/xbps.dis left alone; check withsudo voidstation-pkg mirror status
Installed devices get the update via Settings → Updates → Update. Installing from scratch? Head to the download.
